The Gung Ho Hut
The perfect Great Wall getaway!
The Gung Ho Hut is a hidden haven nestled at the foot of the Great Wall, where the rawness of rural China meets the goodness of Kiwi living. Renovated by Gung Ho founders John and Jade, the Hut is a traditional Chinese courtyard turned comfortable getaway, just an hour and a half drive from the Beijing bustle. Surrounded on either side by dramatic backdrops of the mighty Wall, the location in the remote village of Jiankou offers a refreshing throwback to Chinese rural life, while the renovated Hut features all the iconic elements of an NZ holiday home, a.k.a “Kiwi bach”: an unassuming yet comfy home, with direct access to the great outdoors, fitted-out with quirky knick-knacks from past decades and equipped with a quintessentially Gung Ho! outdoor pizza oven, built in part with bricks from the Great Wall itself.
The Gung Ho Hut is available for rent for both individuals and corporates and is equipped to cater for the likes of events, product launches and private dinners with food produce straight from our Gung Ho! kitchens.
Reservations are taken at the discretion and availability of the owners and are subject to various terms and conditions. For further information about The Gung Ho Hut facilities, check-out our listing here. For booking enquiries, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
